Thank you for the very interesting posts with regard to wrapping content inside the legend tag.

I was hopeful that using span would be the fix I have been looking for, however unfortunately it isn't perfect as it requires a fixed width to work, which is a shame.

Thanks for that. Now I understand why I found Opera (9.27) and Firefox (then 3RC1) exhibited wildly different behavior when I was styling legend elements - and why it suddenly changed in a later Fx versions, including 3 release.

But is it me or is something seriously wrong when you have to override a browser's internal stylesheet (i.e., always) by setting a value to *normal* just to get, well, normal behavior? I guess I don't believe in the principle of browsers being designed to be "bug-compatible".

BTW, the first link in your post to your previous blog post about this doesn't work. Slip in "blog/" just before the "index.cfm" to correct.
